Tonight, the Tower Theatre is screening a documentary about the Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars, the reggae/Afro-beat band that will play at the Tower on May 18.

The film tells the story of the band, which originated in the refugee camps of Sierra Leone — a country that was devastated by civil war and remains one of the most impoverished countries in the world. But more than music, the films describes the way in which the band has inspired and provided hope to the people of the country.

The screening begins at 7:30 p.m. and is $10 at the door. Here’s a trailer of the film.
