Come September, the Sisters Folk Festival brings some of the most talented musicians in folk music to the small Central Oregon town for a weekend of picking and strumming to rival any bigger festival on the circuit. Luckily enough for us, the festival hosts a number of awesome acts through the winter at Sisters High School.

Tonight, Tom Russell, one of the biggest names in Americana-roots music, comes to Sisters with his guitar in hand. Russell has recorded an astounding 25 albums throughout his career. The talented songwriter has even had his songs recorded by some of the greats like Johnny Cash, KD Lang, and Ramblin’ Jack Elliot. Russell proves to be quite the troubadour himself, so for those of you who head to Sisters High School tonight, you’re in for a rockin’ night of folk music.
