The Yard Dogs Road Show filled the Domino Room last night with plenty of fog, zany music, trombones, lasers and at least one fan wearing stilts for a show that melted the barriers between theater and rock music.

For the first time in my tenure here in Bend, there were chairs on the floor of the Domino Room, which makes sense, considering the theatrical, circus-show atmosphere. The crowd (many of whom seemed to have not yet changed out of their Burning Man gear) was surprisingly silent as the San Francisco-based troupe did everything from swallow swords and balloons to perform vaudeville-style acts. Oh, and they also rocked out a few times, which went well with those lasers.

Here is some video from the show in case you missed it. Sorry for the bumpy footage, but the aforementioned dude on the stilts next to me began dancing at one point, making filming somewhat challenging. You just donโ€™t see enough stilt-wearing people in this world, you know that?
