Plenty of people have their eyes on the presidential raceโbut in Bend and Deschutes County, the candidates for City Council, the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners and Deschutes County Sheriff are running in races can have a significant and direct impact on locals’ lives.
These are the most updated results from Election Day, updated at 8pm PST, 10pm PST and when all the votes are counted.
As of the third reported count in Deschutes County at 3:04am Nov. 4, a blue wave swept through the races for Bend City Council with what looks like apparent wins for Melanie Kebler, Anthony Broadman, Megan Perkins and Rita Schenkelberg making this the first female majority City Council in history.
