I am inclined to support young people – our generation is smart, ambitious and has seen so much in our time with our ever-increasing access to information.

On the other hand, I have to say I was a little skeptical before I met him yesterday. I’ve learned a lot from my mentors and think that experience is important. Some insights tend to come with age. After an hour of discussion, I have to say that Dallas did not represent his actual age. Yes, he is youthful, energetic, ambitious and has a lot of great ideas…but he has a depth and intelligence that defies age. He grew up here and truly believes in his ability to implement long-term improvements to the areas affected by the commissioner’s office.

I’m voting for Dallas Brown. I hope you at least learn what he’s all about before next Tuesday.
