With scissors in hand, 18-year old Mitt Romney led a posse of six fellow prep school seniors (including the schoolโ€™s wrestling champion) in an assault on John Lauber, the schoolโ€™s nonconformist.

Five of the assailants have recalled the incident with regret, calling it a โ€œvicious hack jobโ€ and โ€œa senseless, stupid, idiotic thing to do.โ€

Either Romney is lying when he claims not to remember this โ€œprank,โ€ or he truthfully does not remember.

I donโ€™t know which possibility troubles me more.

  1. Foster,
This was how long ago and you think someone should be sorry for something which happened then? I suppose Mr. Romney should be, however, it was so long ago I cannot see where this incident should make any difference now. I know in reality, I am so much more responsible now than I was at 18.

  2. Right on Foster, let’s keep focusing on something that happened 47 years ago when the man was 18. Geesh! If that’s the worst he’s ever done, I say kudos to him, and believe he’d make a great president! Does anyone really think that he would even think about doing such a thing today? Give me a feakin break!!

Instead of wasting your time on something so trivial today, why not do some real journalism and write about important things such as the atrocities being perpetrated against millions of innocent people all over the world by totalitarianism leaders, or even better yet, the incompetence of President Obama over the past 3 1/2 years. Oh wait………..I’m gonna guess you’re probably included in the 90% liberal media that believes Obama is doing a great job!
