I’d like to address the people who are fond of putting out food for the in-town deer population. Please don’t be surprised when you emerge some chilly morning and find one dead in your yard with a bloody trail leading into the street. Please note the slightly accusatory look in the lifeless eyes that are still blissed out from all the free chow. I have nearly run over several of these “pets” as they huddle around your equivalent to a soup kitchen. I recognize that humans have encroached on deer habitat, but I don’t think that feeding them is an appropriate way to make it up to them.

  1. yeah no kidding. Stop feeding the wild animals! They should fear humans and live in the woods. Believe it or not! they are capable of finding their own food.
