Is it just me, or does the different gravel they’re using on streets around Bend actually cause more dust in the air?

I was lookin’ South down Wall St. the other day, kinda lookin’ toward the sun, and I thought I was in a temporal warp. There was all this dust in the air and it looked just like the olden times.

Why if we traded in our motorized carriages and went back to horse n’ buggy it could be boon to tourism, a real Western look, and the dusty roads would jes be taken fur granted!

Could one of the ace reporters at The Source look into this? Seems like the research on this may be faulty.

  1. More dust? Naw, that’s just yer imagination! After all, the city streets dude told The Bulletin that he didn’t _feel_ there was more dust with the new rock. If he feels it’s not so, it must not be. So … the horse-n-buggy thing doesn’t have a chance.

  2. And to think they have to import this new rock…and at what additional cost??? Just so we can have more dust. Brilliant!

  3. I agree. The dusty roads are horrible. Newport/Shevlin Park Road is bad all day. Being such a “healthy” town, with lots of athletes, I’m surprised people aren’t marching in the streets. I live close to Shevlin Park Rd. and the road conditions are bringing out my asthma/allergies. PLEA TO THE SOURCE: PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND EXPOSE THIS HORRIBLE CONDITION.
