Best Albums of 2013: 25-6 | Bent

Your support for independent local news is important.

The Source Weekly has been Central Oregon’s locally owned news outlet for over 23 years. We have always been the definition of "support local." Our success in navigating this new world is tied to the success we experience in pulling together for the common good.

Quality local journalism takes a group of dedicated reporters passionate about democracy and open government. This story is the result of our hard work, and in normal times, the result of the support of the advertisers in Central Oregon. In the age of COVID-19, however, that support has taken a hit—but that’s where you come in.

With the current issue of the Source hitting stands today, we conclude our countdown of the best albums from 2013.

Pick up a copy to see which five albums topped the list!

Here we've got the final portion of the online countdown and it features some stellar music from lo-fi rockers Campfires, heartfelt tunes from singer/songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov, the return of alt-synth group Polica and wickedly good pop from Lucius.

Also included are the highest ranking albums from Portland bands with 10-piece orchestra rock group Typhoon showing up in the number 8 slot and alt-rock outfit Radiation City at number 14.

The below playlist ought to be one fun trip, so get started! Just be sure to share our FACEBOOK post! This time if you do, you can win the 2013 release by hazy rock group Arctic Monkeys. It didn't quite crack the top 150, but it's still an album worth owning!
