McKay Cottage has been open in Bend for nine years, but truly, the restaurant, set in a cozy 1916 bungalow, feels like it has been part of Bend’s lifestyle since time immemorial.

Winning Best Breakfast six years in a row in a town that loves its breakfast is no easy feat, and McKay Cottage takes nothing for granted. Owner Pam Morgan explains, “We have to try really hard. We have a great staff and everybody always works really hard to try to make it better. I hope that we will just keep getting better. There are so many things we would like to do more of and be more creative, and just keep taking care of people.”

“It’s amazing,” adds Morgan, “we do have really loyal customers. We have specials every day for breakfast and lunch, so even people who eat here three or four times a week have something new to try.”
