Okay everyone who was just as obsessed with the podcast Serial as I was: Adnan Syed is having his case re-opened! This comes after his granted appeal for the 2000 conviction of the murder of his girlfriend. While the podcast didn’t necessarily prove Syed’s innocence by any stretch of the imagination, it did most definitely create benefit of the doubt. So much was handled poorly in the case (mostly by his attourney Cristina Gutierrez) that, at the very least, a new trial seems to be in order. What say you, oh faithful Serial fanatics??
