After years of providing the backbeat to some of Bend’s best parties, DJ Barisone told me this morning that he’s leaving Bend for Portland, where he will continue to pursue his DJ career.
Just last month, Source readers voted Bryan Barisone “Best DJ” in our annual Best of Central Oregon issue, a distinction he’s definitely earned. Some may know Barisone as the original DJ for local hip-hoppers Person People and others know him better as a party purveyor who could be seen on many a weekend in the Martini Bar or elsewhere pumping his trademark jams. His calling card sound has come in the form of world musical influences worked seamlessly together with hit cuts.
Anyway, it’s a bummer that one of our best (if not best) DJ is heading out of town, but we wish him the best of luck.
Barisone is playing one last show before moving over to PDX and it’s at Bendistillery Martini Bar at 9:30pm on Friday night (9/25).
