Capture the Flag, the young up-and-coming pop punk band from Bend, are shooting their first music video on Saturday (Jan. 30) and want you to be part of it.

The band’s guitarist, John Davis, who many know from the concerts he promotes in town, is asking any and all folks who want to be in the video to be at the Rise Up warehouse (corner of 1st and Penn) around noon. Ever the nice guys, the bands will provide you with coffee and hot chocolate…not to mention the chance to be in a friggin music video.

The band is still getting going, but already have some tiger-tight pop punk numbers to show off. One of these is the hometown ode “Greenwood Ave.” which just so happens to be the song for which they’re shooting the video. Hit up their MySpace and give a listen.

  1. I know this was written a little over a year ago, but I actually just came across it randomly!

First off, SHAME on you, Frederick! Obviously this guy doesn’t support the local music scene and one shouldn’t judge…people like YOU conform stereotypes! You ASSumed, you made false presumptions on two accounts: 1) Smartass Kids 2) And that they flip the bird. What? …You think you can just generalize Pop-punk music into “That” category? Advice for Fred: Do your research first before you strike a key and end on a sour note!

Anyways! ha…kudos to Capture The Flag! I was there for their first music video shoot and have just watched them amplify over this past year…everything from buying their first tour bus & trailer, completing a full US Tour, recording at Interlace Studios (Portland Oregon), etc and all on their own! They have established themselves and engraved the CTF logo on our hearts! Their commitment and strive for bigger things are starting to brighten: Recently joined Black Eyed Productions and have caught the attention of Warner Bros. Records!!!
Best of everything to you guys!!
