There’s probably going to be a mass exodus of Bendites come Memorial Day weekend when the Sasquatch! Music Festival takes over the Gorge Amphitheater up in Central Washington. But come August 7th and 8th, there should be another line of vehicles heading north as legendary jam band Phish returns to the Gorge for the first time in six years.
The announcement came today along with news that the band – which just reunited for shows in Hampton, Virg. at the beginning of the month after a five-year hiatus-will also be playing a string of four shows at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater.
There’s a lot of people running like antelopes right now…remembering how great things were back in ’99. Ah yes. Those were the days.
UPDATE: I betcha didn’t know that Bend had it’s own high-profile Phish blogger? Yup, and it’s none other than occasional Source contributor Daniel Pearson. Check out his blog, The Wagger.

Bend needs a bigger concert venue. Summer shows in Bend would be sweet, and
bands like Phish would probably enjoy the area and the folks. The Portland and Eugene Phish heads would be able to make the show, and it’s a central location, so people from Washington and Idaho could easily make the drive, too.
