Mt. Bachelor management announced today that are opening the mountainโ€™s summit run (s) for three bonus days of skiing over the Fourth of July weekend.

Bachelor spokesman Andy Goggins said that the record 650 inches of snowfall this past season afforded the company the chance to open for a three-day run in mid-summer. In addition to skiing, the first 250 enthusiasts to arrive each day will receive a commemorative t-shirt. The mountain will also offer live music at Pine Mountain West Village lodge at the base of Pine Marten.

Daily lift tickets are $30 for general public and $20 for passholders, including season pass, mid-week and club card members. ย Lifts will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat. July 2 โ€“ Mon. July 4 with skiers accessing the Summit Express lift via Pine Marten Express.

  1. Paid 1000 bucks for a full season pass and have to pay for the extra days? Sounds like typical Bachelor greed. Mammoth is still open and doesn’t charge season pass holders.

  2. With the economy the way it is and the tremendous people out of work, why did Mt. Bachelor close in the first place. I would think they would want to continue to stay open and make money as long as the snow pack warrants.

  3. Whoa! Can’t wait to hit the slopes in July. I’m a season pass holder that is super stoked that you are offering 33% off the standard price for season pass holders. The season was over at the end of May so this is a GIFT! THANK YOU!!!
