I was reading the article that Eric Flowers wrote about the status of the Bend UGB. I do not think that the citizens of Bend want to or should pay for a bridge that just services land owned by Matt Day, Brooks Resources, Millers and Coats. This same group was willing to pay for a bridge or satellite sewer system while the deliberations were ongoing as to what property had the highest priority to come into the UGB. Now we find out how the behind the scene politics have influenced this whole process from the very beginning. Are the taxpayers of Bend going to be asked to finance the overpass at Juniper Ridge for the City of Bend's Development Company too??

Not only has the City of Bend & City Council misappropriated millions of dollars from the general fund to pay for their development fiasco at JR, now the taxpayers are going to be asked to stand behind the agreements that the city made with these west-side developers. It's too bad that the average taxpayer who is trying to scrape out a living has to foot the bill for the ultra rich...it smells so familiar Oh, now I remember. The Bush legacy lives on...
