You may or may not know that the Bend Roots Revival, the late-September local music extravaganza, is moving for this September’s festival. The super popular event quickly outgrew its previous location between Parrilla Grill and the Victorian Cafe and is now setting up shop in the Century Center, which includes the West Bend Tennis Center (1355 SW Commerce St.

Bend-Rooted Band Adventure Galley Makes Finals of Toyota Music Contest
If you haven’t had enough with music competitions in the wake of the three-month Last Band Standing, here’s another one you can cast your vote in — the Toyota Music Rock the Space contest.
Featured in the finals of this contest is Adventure Galley a band that began its career in Bend before heading over to Eugene.

Sara Jackson-Holman, the 21-year-old Bend native who suddenly rose to national prominence after Expunged Records came across her demos on MySpace last year, finally played her first local show last night at the Oxford Hotel.
With a near-capacity crowd on hand that was full of family and friends, Jackson-Holman took the stage and played a neatly packaged one-hour set that included most, if not all, of the songs from her studio record, When You Dream.
Mosley Wotta Wins Last Band Standing Bend
After 12 weeks of preliminary, semifinals and now the finals round, a winner has been crowned in the first-ever Last Band Standing Bend competition and his name is Mosley Wotta.The local hip-hop hero, known for his larger-than-life stage presence and high-minded lyrics, takes home a big bag of goodies worth some $30,000, including a 15-passenger van.

1) The Saturday lineup for the Bite of Bend was some of the best festival music we’ve ever had in this town.
2) When it’s rained for three straight weeks and finally gets sunny, people in Bend go nuts, bonkers, bananas.
Last Band Standing Finals are Set: Empty Space Orchestra and Klever Kill advance
Inside the packed and sweaty — I mean “summery” — Boondocks Bar and Grill last night, two more bands punched their tickets for an appearance in the finals of Last Band Standing.
Well-known space-prog-rockers Empty Space Orchestra and the crunchy metalistas of Klever Kill, will both appear in the final round of Last Band Standing, to be held on Thursday, July 1 at Boondocks.
